Our work relates to science in two ways: firstly in that it is based on the empirical exploration of ritual and ceremony, proposing experiments and using our individual perceptions and sensitivity, as well as feedback from others, to collect information about the results. Secondly, because we rely on the wide ranging research conducted by professionals in various academic fields over many decades.
